Today, Uzbekistan is becoming famous and popular among tourists more and more due to its historical cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.

Hospitable and smiling people, colorful bazaars overflowing with sweet and juicy fruits, fragrant spices and fresh baked uzbek bread, gourmet cuisine, the beauty of nature and many others admired by every guest of the country and leave a warm, bright impressions for a long time. But it is difficult to imagine Uzbekistan without the king of dishes - Plov. At least once every tourist wants to try a real Uzbek plov.

This tour is made for real gourmets of plov. In a short time they can try several types of this meal as Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Ferghana and Andijan plovs. Each of them differs from each other in taste, preparation, ingredients, type of oil and rice .....

STOP!!! We can tell a lot about plov. BUT it is better to see once than hear a hundred times. Plov is already being prepared. And we look forward to seeing you very soon!

TASHKENT - SAMARKAND (evening train, 18:45-20:56)

Landing at the International airport of Tashkent. Driver will meet you with a signboard "BBS Travel".  

Transfer to the hotel and check in (early check in is included).

A short sightseeing tour of the city: Kukaldosh Madrasah is the largest of the 23 madrassas in old Tashkent. Then we go to the eastern colorful market of Chorsu. We examine the malls full of aromatic spices, dried fruits (raisins, dried apricots, prunes, dates, figs, apricots, etc.), fresh seasonal and overseas fruits, various kinds of nuts and candied fruits (peanuts, walnuts, cashews, pistachios, almonds, candied, salted, etc.).

Then we leave towards the memorial complex Shokhidlar Khotirasi. Take a walk in the park. We can see from outside the tallest building of the city – Tashkent TV tower.

 For lunch we will go to center of plov "Osh Markazi" with a capacity of up to 500 people. Plov begins to be prepared in the morning in the courtyard of the center in five huge cast-iron pots kazans (containing 50 kg of rice) on wood. By 11 o’clock the plov is ready. The center serves only plov, tea and variety of vegetable salads. During lunch time, about 2 thousand people manage to eat here. In the center 2 types of plov are being prepared. The most popular is Tashkent wedding plov. But there is also plov of Devzira from the special dark rice of the Ferghana Valley. Here you can not only eat delicious food, but also see a fragment of the real life of the capital of Uzbekistan.

 

After lunch continue sightseeing: ethno park “Navruz”, Independence square, Amir Temur square.

17:30 transfer to railway station.

18:45 take high speed train Afrosiab to Samarkand.

20:56 arrival in Samarkand, check in to the hotel.

OVERNIGHT IN SAMARKAND

SAMARKAND – BUKHARA (300 km, 4-5 hrs)

08:00 Breakfast at the hotel.

09:00 Samarkand city tour: Registan Square is an ensemble of three madrasahs, an example of Persian architecture. Gur-Emir mausoleum, Temurids' tomb, a unique creation of Islamic architecture.

The complex of Shakhi Zinda, which was formed over 9 centuries, in the period from XIV to XV centuries. 

 Lunch in plov center and try Samarkand plov, which differs from Tashkent plov by taste, preparing even by serving.

 

After lunch drive to Bukhara. Arrival and check in to the hotel.

OVERNIGHT IN BUKHARA

BUKHARA-TASHKENT (evening train, 15:50-19:44)

08:00 Breakfast in the hotel

09:00 Sightseeing tour of the city of Bukhara: Historical and architectural complex Lyabi-Khaus, madrasas and khanaka Nadir Divan Begi, Madrasah Kukeldash, trade domes, complex Poi Kalyan.

Lunch at local restaurant “Adras” with master class of Bukhara plov Oshi Sofi, considered the most dietary of all types of plov, and is prepared in a special pot.

 

Continue sightseeing after lunch:  Ark fortress, Bolo Khauz, Samanids mausoleum and Chashma-Ayub mausoleum.

15:55 take high speed train to Tashkent.

19:40 arrival, check in to the hotel.

OVERNIGHT IN TASHKENT

TASHKENT- KOKAND (morning train, 08:05-12:09) – OK YER village – RISHTAN – FERRGANA

07:00 Transfer to train station to take train Kokand 060Ф 08:05-12:09. Meeting with the guide. Transfer to Kokand.

Excursion in Kokand: Palace of Khudayar Khan, Mausoleum of Modari Khan, Juma Mosque, necropolis Sarymodor.

Further drive to Ok Yer village to visit local family and see the process of making felt carpets. Then drive to Rishtan to see ceramic workshop. Drive to Fergana.

dinner at local chaykhana, tasting of Ferghana plov with a bitter chilli pepper, giving the dish a special flavor. In the spring and summer, there is the opportunity to try plov with kavartag (dolma from grape leaves).

OVERNIGHT IN FERGANA

FERGANA - MARGILAN -ASAKA-ANDIJAN (100 km, 2 hrs) – TASHKENT (evening train, 16:00-21:39)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Margilan. Visit Yodgorlik Silk Factory. Master class on silk scarves on the factory (optional).

Visit local bazaar and madrasah of Said Akhmad-khodha.

Then transfer to Andijan through the Asaka district, where the famous Chuntak teahouse is located, locals and foreign tourists go to taste the real Andijan pilaf there.

Lunch at the Chuntak teahouse.

Continue driving to Andijan. Walk around the city, visit the park of Bobur. Drive out of city. 30 km from the city there is an ancient settlement Mingtepa. The Chinese sources of 2nd-1st centuries BC describe in detail the rich and populous country of Davan (today the Fergana Valley). According to the Chinese sources, Davan had more than 70 cities; the capital city of the state was Ershi. It was a great commercial city on the Great Silk Road. People of Ershi were noted for their skills in the trade.  During the Turkic period in the Middle Ages, Ershi was renamed to Mingtepa. Mingtepa was gradually falling into decay. Reduced trading activity on the Great Silk Road as well as numerous conquests caused to the decline of the city. Over time, people have moved and built a new city on the site of modern Andijan.

Transfer to railway station.

16:00 departure to Tashkent by train 059Ф.

21:39 arrival, check in to the hotel.

Cancellation of the tour ordered more than 3 months before the arrival date: 2 months before - without penalty, 1.5 months before - 30% of the tour cost, 30 days before - 50% of the tour cost, a week before -100% of the tour cost. In case of ordering a tour in less than 30 calendar days, an advance payment of 100% is required and non-refundable.
  3. Uzbekistan Airways National Company provides children under 2 years old with a discount of 90% of the cost of an air ticket. Children under 12 years old get a discount of 50% of the cost of the ticket for domestic destinations.
  4. GAZHK Uzbekistan Railways Company provides children under 9 full years a discount of 50% of the cost of a train ticket.
